Coming together once again, Jozef K & Winter Son deliver peak time goodness with a four-part EP on Kim Ann Foxman’s thrilling Firehouse imprint.
Jozef K & Winter Son have carved a name for themselves as prolific producers who have an undeniable passion for weaving a sonic tapestry that harks back to the bygone rave era. Previous collaborations have earned them high praise from the likes of DJ Mag and Mixmag.
Their Togetherness EP is no exception to this. Titular track Togetherness kicks off proceedings. It’s an acid house tinged number with a piano topline that begs for you to throw your hands in the air. The pair then tread darker territory with I Need A Fix. The womping bassline wraps around an urgent vocal, beckoning you to get your dancefloor fix.
In keeping with this vein, 1000 Organs is nearly six minutes of dark seduction, underpinned with hypnotic tribal drums. The EP closes with Rise, an electrifying, energetic number that layers high-octane strings over the call of the female vocal, perfectly encapsulate the 90s era of house.
