Basti Grub is a hugely prolific producer who now returns once more with three more of his slick productions, this time on Dubfire’s mighty SCI+TEC label.
Opener Plarsch is a spiritual bit of minimal tech house with gorgeously atmospheric pads and twinkling keys over rolling rubber beats.
Shake It then gets more stripped back and dark, with supple and rubbery drum grooves and freaky little sound effects and deft synths all woven together into a tapestry of rhythm.
Last of all is Last Fight, a zoned out and super deep and late night number with gentle toms, whispered vocals and more minimal drum work all sinking you deep into a reverie.
This is another fantastic EP that shows off Basti Grub’s mastery of the studio.
