Listen : Idealist returns to his own Idealistmusic this June with the ‘Inverted I’ EP

Idealist returns to his own Idealistmusic this June with the ‘Inverted I’ EP, comprising four-original cuts from the Swiss artist.

Zurich, Switzerland based producer and DJ, Idealist has been carving out his own style of dub-infused house and techno for over a decade now, dropping releases on esteemed imprints like Echocord, where he delivered his latest LP ‘Mind Field’ last year, Berg Audio and of course his very own Details Series, and Idealistmusic where he returns here for the labels tenth release.

Leading on the package is ‘Chapter Three’ with its murky dubbed out plucked synths, thunderous low-end pulsations, dusty drum sounds and spiralling stab sequences all subtly nuanced throughout. ‘Interlude’ follows and wanders into deeper realms via ethereal pad textures, stripped-back, organic percussion and hooky vocal chops.

‘Vocal Jam’ heads back to the peak-time next with a crunchy, robust rhythm, classic house vocals and squelchy acid licks before ‘Tear In Vain’ rounds things out, a harken back to the heydays of 90’s ambient electronica with warm pads, airy resonant synth flourishes and an elongated bass groove.
