General Roots -‘Walk Tall’

general rootsGeneral Roots are a London-based 6-piece reggae band formed by friends in 2008.

They have built up a strong and loyal fan base over the last four years, putting on trademark high energy live shows that have proven to get anyone and everyone up off their feet. Their homegrown approach to dub, lovers rock & roots reggae has earned them prestigeous support slots INCLUDING Ziggy Marley,The Skints, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Hollie Cook, alongside rocking festival appearances at Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and Croatian festivals Soundwave and Outlook respectively. They have also had their tracks championed by BBC Radio presenters David Rodigan & Craig Charles.

Partnering with Evergreen Recordings, General Roots unveil the debut album ‘Walk Tall’. The release features 10 tracks, including guest appearances from some of the UK’s most popular reggae artists Dennis Bovell, Top Cat & Horseman. Having worked with Bovell (Aswad/Janet Kay/Joss Stone) on writing, they have conjured up their best material to date.
