Elkka first introduced us to her solo work with her debut EP– ‘HER’. Self-released on her own label Femme Culture in late 2016, the EP featured lead track ‘Try’ which was added to Spotify’s New Music Friday in both the UK and US, as well as being added to Viral Hits UK, US and Global.
Elkka now launches into 2017 with new track ‘Touch’ – an exquisitely executed cover of Rui Da Silva’s 2001 classic produced by Elkka herself and Pop Morrison.
he video for ‘Touch’ will follow soon and marks the second installment of the trilogy series – each Trelease is accompanied by an intimate video which acts as captivating a visual diary, telling one complete story when watched consecutively.
In addition to this new single, Elkka is pleased to announce details of a new club night under the Femme Culture banner. A bi-monthly night in London curated by Elkka which marks the first step in her desire to build Femme Culture as not only a record label – but as a cultural hub / collective / platform to empower and encourage females in the arts, whilst also promoting LGBTQ awareness along the way. Femme Culture will be creating a series of events collaborating music x art x film x photography.
The first of these club nights which take place on April 20th at Folklore in Hoxton which will feature a plethora of amazing female DJs including Alicia and Melle Brown from Reprezent Radio as well as Elkka herself.
