Sinead Harnett shares full ‘Chapter One’ mixtape ft. Kaytranada, GRADES, Wretch 32

Sinead Harnett reveals her long-awaited project ‘Chapter One’—the follow up to 2016’s self-titled EP, on Rinse. Following her recent return with the riveting video for lead track ‘Still Miss You’ one week prior, today Sinead finally reveals ‘Chapter One’. An 8-track mixtape—her longest, and most accomplished body of work to date—featuring collaborations with Wretch 32, Kaytranada, JD. Reid, and GRADES, with whom Sinead crafted the delicate R&B of ‘If You Let Me’.

‘Chapter One’ perfectly encapsulates where Sinead is at right now, with each track demonstrating Sinead’s superb song-craft and effortlessly smooth vocal as she navigates her way through her own heartbreak.

Setting the tone, lead track ‘Still Miss You’ finds Sinead collaborating once more with GRADES to spellbinding effect. ‘So Solo’ is an instantly catchy love letter to the 90’s, while on the smart and sexy classic R&B grooves of ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ and ‘Want It With You’ Sinead’s influences come to the fore.

Sinead teams up once again with Kaytranada on ‘Heal You’, weaving lyrics about love, loss, and heartbreak around a minimal slow-burner —featuring a deft sample of Jeff Buckley’s ‘Opened Once’— with Wretch 32 assisting with a poignant sixteen bars. ‘Equation’ finds Sinead at her most exposed—a raw, and beautifully delicate vocal topline, accompanied by a solo piano.

The mixtape comes to a close with ‘Ally’. With its deep groove, heartfelt lyrics, and epic crescendo, ‘Ally’ is the perfect track to end Chapter One: just like every good book, listeners won’t be able to resist diving back in for more.
