Felix Da Housecat’s esteemed label Founders Of Filth returns with the second release.
The release is inspired by my roots of growing up on the southside of Chicago whilst I was staying with Marshall Jefferson. He was my teacher at the time alongside Roy Davis Jr, also being inspired by Larry Heard alias Gherkin Jerks. I would go see Mike Dunn and Armondo rock the warehouse club in early nineties …with this frequency and vibration it has resonated with my spirit of Nostalgia.. Felix da Housecat

A Aphrohead – The Divine
AA1 Moonroom – Hold/Release
AA2 The FOFtréaL Quintet – I Won’t Try
The Divine opens the EP with a haunting synthesis and enthralling lyrics. Aphrohead leads you down a path of eclectic percussion and that all important kick throughout. An almost space-age xylophone forms the melody of Moonroom’s Hold/Release, building up to a frisky array of drums and shakers, propelled by hypnotic, slowed-down vocals. In-house band the FOFtréaL Quintet end the label’s second EP on a high with I Won’t Try.
