Off the back of high-profile production credits for Lil Pump, Lil Yachty and AJ Tracey, UK producer MISOGI yesterday announced new album Blood Moon Underworld, revealing lead single ‘Bleached’ to a few hundred of his most dedicated fans via a live YouTube premiere.
Based in the UK and aged only 20, MISOGI has emerged as one of the most intriguing and uniquely successful producers of his generation – racking up tens of millions of streams as a solo artist while producing for some of the biggest vocalists in the world. True to his DIY roots, Blood Moon Underworld – the new 13-track album arriving in the Spring – was written and recorded entirely in his bedroom in South London.
Despite his young age and zero press or touring, MISOGI has built a massive cult following online, and close collaborative relationships with artists from all over the world, including Lil Yachty, AJ Tracey, Night Lovell, Joji, Lil Pump, BONES, Josh Pan, Oshi, Fifty Grand and countless more. He’s been self-releasing music and building a dedicated core fanbase through his SoundCloud and Bandcamp since he was 14, with four extended projects and numerous singles to his name that take in everything from breathless, emotive rap beats to longing guitar music.
Following some of MISOGI’s biggest collaborations to date – twice with UK rap star AJ Tracey, releasing the collaborative single ‘Have U Seen’ and contributing to Tracey’s Secure The Bag! EP, producing a track on Lil Pump’s Harverd Dropout album and producing Lil Yachty’s ‘Everything Good, Everything Right’, which Yachty performed at the ESPN Genesis Half Time Show upon the record’s release – MISOGI now steps out of the shadows with Blood Moon Underworld, his most accomplished and expansive album yet.
Full details of Blood Moon Underworld will be revealed soon – until then, enjoy the album’s first single ‘Bleached’. Packed with driving climaxes and intimate moments that demonstrate MISOGI’s ability to write songs at the highest level without compromising the forward-thinking approach that saw him gain notoriety in the first place, ‘Bleached’ finds MISOGI’s voice at the forefront of his music in a way that we’ve rarely seen before, representing an exciting next step in this most unique of musical journeys.
