Tim Atlas shares New Single,New Video, Announces New EP + US Tour

LA-based Zane Lowe-supported R&B Neo-soul artist, Tim Atlas, is today sharing the flawlessly choreographed music video for new single ‘Tangerine’ – produced by Sean Fischer (AKA French Braids), this is the latest to be lifted from his forthcoming EP, Together Lonely which is due for release on November 8, 2019. The new seven-track EP will be trailed with a US tour supporting Goldroom taking in a hometown slot at the El Rey Theatre, Los Angeles on November 9, 2019. Further UK/EU dates are expected in late 2019/early 2020 – the forthcoming nine US 2019 shows are below.

The ‘Tangerine’ video, directed by Joseph Diaz and choreographed by Mikaela Jagim, depicts a colourful snippet of Tim’s world. Shot with a tangerine colour palette in mind – a visual motif throughout the EP – the track thematically looks at the energy people give off, something Tim imagines in different hues, as well as highlighting the EP’s central theme of exhaustion and social anxiety.

Speaking about the clip, Tim says: “People give off different types of energy, and those auras are often associated with specific colours in my head. Tangerine was written about someone that may go under the radar, usually understated, but can actually be the most interesting, beautiful person in the room.” He continues, “I also learned a choreographed dance, which is a huge feat, because if you know me, I’m a below-average dancer.
