Manchester-based DJ and producer salute (they/he) today unveils their highly anticipated contribution to the iconic fabric presents mix series alongside original track ‘love has come again’, out now on all platforms and double vinyl via fabric Records.
The 25-track journey features pioneers and forward-thinkers including Kerri Chandler, Bodhi, Dorian Concept, Jimpster, Sedat, St. David, Junior Sanchez, Redhead and more, alongside two new salute originals: last month’s ‘double luxury’ and the brand-new club track ‘love has come again’. To mark the release, salute headlines fabric Room 1 today (10th October), joined by a stacked lineup of friends and scene-shapers including Bambounou, Eclair Fifi, Breaka, Dismantle, Helena Star + more.
New track ‘love has come again’ turns the emotional release of ‘double luxury’ into pure peak-time euphoria, replete with pulsing bassline, hypnotic vocal stabs and soaring tension built for late-night dancefloors. Where ‘double luxury’ captured salute’s signature blend of soulful energy, deep groove and cathartic release, this new cut pushes further, driven by relentless low-end power and moments of anticipation that break into waves of pure dancefloor release.
“My contribution to the fabric presents series is my way of contextualising the music I’ve been writing over the last couple of years”, salute says. “I wanted to include everything that makes up the salute palette – loopy, sample-based house, dense soulful chords, beautiful synths, slick and groovy drum work. It’s an exercise in beautiful house and techno music, or at least my definition of it”.
