Roush regular Javi Bora returns to the label this February alongside fellow Ibizan Iban Mendoza to drop two fresh productions, whilst Music On favourite Leon and Huxley each provide head turning remixes.
With releases on VIVa MUSiC, Do Not Sleep and Robsoul in 2017 alone, Javi Bora is a textbook example of Spain’s thriving and ever-evolving house scene. A crowd favourite on the island of Ibiza following his annual residencies at the Island’s most famous club, Space, Bora’s signature blend of rolling grooves and driving productions has seen him gain plaudits from industry heavyweights Sidney Charles, Steve Lawler and Nic Fanciulli. Here we see him combine with fellow Ibizan Iban Mendoza to deliver two new cuts to kick-start 2018, whilst LEON and Huxley turn in a pair of impressive remixes on the flip.
Javi Bora opens the EP with his solo production ‘Nights Of Groove’, with the Spaniard’s distinguished style oozing through from the off. Slick percussion licks flow alongside infectious vocal shots and vibrant sirens throughout the classy title cut, before uniting with Mendoza to deliver ‘House Room’ as the pair raise the tempo and combine shuffling drums, crisp hats and bumping low-ends.
Music On resident Leon’s groove focused interpretation of ‘Nights Of Groove’ opens the second half of the package and sees the Italian weave trademark, precise drum patterns amongst delayed vocals and to reveal a production destined for terraces in the months ahead. Last up, Huxley’s ‘Big Room’ remix concludes the package in fine fashion as the ever-dynamic and versatile UK talent takes things deep into darker territories, building on the original’s acid tinged melodies to deliver a monster 303-led cut primed for the peak time.
