The latest release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Nicolas Petracca back to the label for his debut single. The Argentinean artist last appeared on the Colombian imprint with a remix of ‘Analog’ by Michael A from January of this year. The Hernan Cattaneo favourite now returns to Clubsonica for his much anticipated debut single alongside remixes from Erdi Irmak, Andres W and Nikko Mavridis.
Nicolas’ unique melodic sound has become a favourite of many in the global progressive scene. With a diverse production palate he goes deeper and more emotive on ‘Amilur’. Fuelled by warm beats, cosmic atmospheres and wispy vocals it tells a compelling story over the course of its nine minute journey. Split into two breaks, the second act proves to be the most poignant with delicate hypnotic qualities, frayed effects and luminous pads adding their own heartrending moments. Gorgeous music from Nicolas.
The first interpretation of ‘Amilur’ is provided by Erdi Irmak who is returning to Clubsonica for his second appearance. The Turkish artist last appeared on the Colombian imprint with a remix of Michael A’s ‘Analog’ and has since released impressive projects for Juicebox Music, ICONYC and Sound Avenue. Always a consummate remixer, Erdi takes ‘Amilur’ down his own sonic avenue for a deeply engaging ride. Radiant beats combined with broken percussion and spiralling themes make for a lovely first act before an astral break ultimately seals its emotive brilliance. Perhaps one of Erdi’s most gorgeous remixes to date and no doubt his most sought after this year.
The second interpretation of ‘Amilur’ is provided by Andres W who is making his debut appearance on Clubsonica. Andres Wolovich aka Andres W hails from Argentina and continues to be one of his country’s most underappreciated progressive house talents. After carving out his own unique sound Andres has found a home on Clinique Recordings, Stellar Fountain and Superordinate Music. Now presenting his most anticipated remix to date Andres puts his own unique twist on ‘Amilur’. Spaced out and summery with incredible groove and cadence it might be a career defining rework for the Argentinean. Textural overlays and luminous motifs float in harmonic unison while its evolving atmospheric storyboard delights every step of the way. Gorgeous work from Andres.
The third and final interpretation of ‘Amilur’ is provided by Nikko Mavridis who is also making his debut on the label. The long standing Greek artist (also known for his Coda production alias) has 20 plus years DJing in Greece’s finest venues. Nikko has shared the decks with 16 Bit Lolitas, Matthew Dekay, Jimmy Van M, Dave Seaman and many other top international talents. His years behind the decks have served him well as his ‘Amilur’ interpretation comes with a real nose for the dance floor. With a tougher core and chunky groove its swing heavy framework has a delightful cadence. Its one minute plus break is perhaps a defining moment, shifting the mood skyward before a heavenly finale closes the release out on a strong note.
With the summer season in full swing Clubsonica presents one of its most timely and emotive projects to date. Highly Recommended.
