Nia Archives makes history as the first jungle artist ever to receive 3 nominations at the BRIT Awards

Today the unstoppable Bradford born, Leeds raised new-gen junglist Nia Archives has been nominated for “Artist of The Year” and “Dance Act” at the 2025 BRIT Awards. Adding to her 2023 “Rising Star” nomination, this incredible feat makes her the first jungle artist ever to receive 3 nominations at the prestigious awards.

Speaking on the 2025 nominations, Nia shares:

“So grateful 2 get x2 Brit nominations!! Such a proud moment for jungle music, big up all the original and new gen junglists out there !!

These nominations come in after a seismic 2024 for Nia. Culminating in a sold-out Brixton Academy in November, earlier in the year her epochal debut album Silence Is Loud released via HIJINXX/Island Records was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize (the first jungle artist to receive a nomination since Roni Size in 1997 who won the prize with his groundbreaking album New Forms).

The once in a generation genre defining record that saw her bring Britpop to Jungle Music in a wholly unique and quintessentially Nia Archives way drew comparisons to everyone from Blur to Adele, Goldie and The Prodigy, placing her firmly in the lineage of British dance music greats.

The winners will be announced during the live show on Saturday 1st March at The O2 arena, broadcast exclusively on ITV1 and ITVX and hosted by Jack Whitehall. The award this year has been designed by multi-disciplinary artist Gabriel Moses.

The winners of the five genre awards will be determined by a public vote exclusively through WhatsApp, which will open on Friday 31st January at 12 midday and close on Friday 14th February at 6pm.

To vote, fans can head to the BRITs WhatsApp channel or BRITs socials, to begin the vote on WhatsApp from Friday 31st January at midday. Further information on the vote can be found at brits.co.uk/vote.
