Cameo Blush specialises in emotionally-charged club tracks and gorgeous, melodic electronic music. Hailing from the bucolic Lake District and a key member of London’s producer community for the last decade, it’s no surprise that he has an equal love of peak-time dancefloor music and innovative, cinematic sound design.
Cameo Blush’s projects tie a thread through dynamic club tracks, ambient experimentalism, forays into downtempo dance music and composing for brand campaigns. A restless producer with a wide angle view of electronic music, he’s recently contributed to SHERELLE’s debut album, produced a suite of a club bangers with Surusinghe, been in the studio with Jeshi, remixed Yunè Pinku, scored an Adidas Originals campaign and released ‘Just Concentrate’, an EP based around the concept of a radio station and containing the breadth of his lush, uplifting production palette.
The DJ/producer/sound designer’s next move is five-track EP ‘Grace In Motion’. A blend of human interaction, spontaneous studio decisions and AI outcomes reflects the EP’s synthesis of the real and the digital, where technology is a modern catalyst for beauty. Cameo Blush used the digital connection he has with his fans to A&R the record, asking for their opinion of track demos to decide the EP’s final tracklist via social media, and inviting them to submit their thoughts on the theme of ‘existence’. Using AI as a creative tool, he used their responses to generate track titles and the title of the EP, blending human collaboration with the eerily lifelike co-creation of AI. This also formed the basis of the mesmeric, text-based music video for lead single ‘Here’, made in collaboration with the cutting-edge visual artist Gray For Days. . Sonically, ‘Grace In Motion’ is designed for strobe-lit dancefloors, containing Cameo Blush’s propulsive, euphoric club music. This is electronic music for life-affirming experiences.
‘Grace In Motion’ lands during the summer of 2025 and comes ahead of another EP later in the year, which plays with the concept of doomscrolling, unending notifications and the omnipresence of smartphones, using voicenotes and ringtones as source material for tracks and compositions.
There’s also Cameo Blush’s Rinse FM residency, where he plays exclusive unreleased dubs and brand new music from himself and his peers, shows at the likes of Drumsheds, Warehouse Project, Junction 2 and fabric and radio support from Radio 1, 6 Music, NTS and triple j, as fans and tastemakers alike catch on to Cameo Blush’s unique, multi-faceted approach to electronic music.
