Audiovisual and immersive concerts, club nights and performances are among the highlights of the eighth edition of WOS Festival, which will take place from 11 to 14 September across more than ten venues in Santiago de Compostela.

Following the announcement of the festival’s return, all Early Bird Festival Passes and Weekend Passes sold out in less than 48 hours.

WOS Festival x SON Estrella Galicia has unveiled the first 14 artists set to feature in the line-up of its eighth edition, taking place from 11 to 14 September in Santiago de Compostela. The carefully curated programme promises to be sharper, more urgent and attuned to the tensions running through contemporary culture.

Abdullah Miniawy, aya & MFO present hexed!, Batu, Beatrice Dillon, Carme López, CCL, Djrum, Lord Spikeheart, Los Thuthanaka, Masayoshi Fujita, Nazar, Objekt, Simo Cell and Tarta Relena have all confirmed their presence at the festival, which will bring cutting-edge electronic music and sonic exploration to theatres, clubs, churches, concert halls and other iconic venues across the city.

For four days, Santiago de Compostela will host immersive audiovisual concerts, performances, club nights and unique encounters featuring 14 artists whose presence is significant both regionally and nationally. Egyptian performer Abdullah Miniawy will present Peacock Dreams in Spain for the first time; Los Thuthanaka will make their Spanish debut; and some international tours will make exclusive stops in Santiago, such as Japanese vibraphonist Masayoshi Fujita, who will present Migratory. Established names such as Djrum, Nazar and Simo Cell (performing live and recently releasing FL Louis EP) will share the bill with the duo Tarta Relena, who will present their latest album És Pregunta in Galicia, alongside emerging local talent such as Carme López.

The return of WOS Festival x SON Estrella Galicia has been met with great enthusiasm, with Early Bird passes selling out in under 48 hours — both the full Festival Pass (granting access to all events over the four days of WOS) and the Weekend Pass (covering concerts on 12, 13 and 14 September). Following the sell-out, WOS Festival has released the next tier of tickets (advance sale price). Passes are available here.

To make contemporary culture accessible to as many people as possible, the festival organisers are offering a 10% discount on Festival Passes and Weekend Passes for Carné Xove cardholders, students of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), unemployed persons, and individuals holding a certified disability card (33% or higher). Valid documentation will be required when collecting wristbands for festival access.
