The next compilation on Laurent Garnier’s COD3 QR label features tracks by seven mercenaries: Mirko Loko, Fitzherbert, Works Of Intent, LEVOS, Hilit Kolet, Monfort and Marco Bailey.
Mirko Loko is one of Switzerland’s most prominent musical talents. Inspired by pioneers like Laurent Garnier and Carl Craig, as well as the vibrant scenes of Detroit and Chicago, Mirko began as a resident DJ on the renowned Couleur 3, then at the Loft Electroclub in Lausanne. As the artistic director of the Polaris festival in Verbier, founded in 2015, he continues to shape the music experience. He’s garnered international recognition, with releases on prestigious labels such as COD3 QR, Planet E, Border Community, Cocoon and Visionquest. Returning to the label, he delivers the glittering opener, “Mind Your Step”, a future classic.
Fitzherbert is a music producer and DJ whose journey began at just 9 years old, his hands gliding over piano keys in classical and jazz compositions, with his teenage years spent playing in school bands and funk ensembles. Since 2010 he’s shared his music with the world and in 2014 stepped into the spotlight as part of the duo, Lakechild with remixes for Angus & Julia Stone, Lana Del Rey, and X Ambassadors. Melding the lush grooves of disco and funk with the driving force of house and techno, his solo sound is a vibrant counterpoint to techno’s darker edges. Worthy of relistening, his previously self-released “Short Trip to Space” now lands on COD3 QR.
The made in England mix-engineer-designer-essayist and activist, Works Of Intent’s productions are rooted in the UK underground but dripping in techno and pop sensibilities. He’s found a home on labels like Monkeytown, Turbo, Rekids and COD3 QR. In the booth he’s a master of the live edit, unexpected blend and four deck wizardry. Outside the booth he’s project manager of DAYTIMERS, a UK based collective that champions the sounds, stories and voices of South Asian creatives, designer for various leftist entities in the space, and mix engineer. Once again, he delivers storytelling and emotion on “Erase It”.
LEVOS is one of Sydney, Australia’s most exciting and original young musical talents. Producing, presenting and promoting forward thinking jazz and electronic music with his record label and party series, CG Discs and playing DJ sets that are as explosive as they are eclectic, he is one to watch. Pushing the Sydney dance scene forward with Jazz Doof parties in collaboration with local label Strange Cadence, he also plays live in a project called Flux State. With a release to come on Well Street Records, he firstly brings a touch of D&B with “Hood Oos” to COD3 QR.
London-based DJ and producer Hilit Kolet is at the bleeding edge of 2025’s fiercest beats. A classically trained musician and long-time face of Soho’s legendary Black Market Records, she’s known for high-octane DJ sets and razor-sharp productions – on the likes of Defected, Rekids and Bush – her intense percussive blend of house and techno evokes chaos on any dancefloor. Now, she brings those skills to “Sunbed Tripper” which features the spoken words of Juliet Mendoza.
Monfort is the new alias of Albert Salvatierra, a Spanish producer and DJ who has released music on respected labels such as Truncate, Planet Rhythm, Skryptöm and MB Elektronics. His sound stands out for its strength and precision, crafted both for the dance floor and more attentive listening. As a DJ, he’s performed in some of the most iconic venues on the Spanish circuit, as well as international spots. With “La Musique”, his debut on COD3 QR, Monfort opens a new artistic chapter with a more introspective approach — shifting away from high BPMs to focus on emotional expression through melody.
A luminary figure in the global techno landscape, Belgian DJ, producer and label owner (Materia, MB Elektronics, Elektronik Zoo Sounds, Fundaments Ltd), Marco Bailey needs little introduction, boasting a career that has spanned over three decades. Beginning in the early 1990s, his tracks have also graced revered imprints such as Intec, Bedrock, Cocoon and many more. A regular on COD3 QR, he follows up previous tracks “Keep On Holding”, “Liquid Room” and “Full Steam”, with the epic techno of “Sweet Irony” to close the compilation.
