Blue Ringed Baby & Kamī unveil their debut album Forever Chemicals, arriving November 7th via London imprint Goddezz. The record, made up of nine original tracks, accompanied by three remixes, marks the culmination of a year spent building an ethereal sonic vision through their single releases Endless Brainspill, Salt Eyes and molten / CPU Maxxing.
The sound of Forever Chemicals is tender, intimate and liberating, carrying a lasting emotional resonance. The album drifts between ambient jungle, trip-hop, art-pop and shoegaze, merging these forms into something luminous and fluid. There is a sense of purity and gentle catharsis that flows through each piece like waves of memory. Kamī’s soothing, enchanting vocals rise over Blue Ringed Baby’s playful, organic production, forming an eternal dialogue between voice and rhythm. Remixes from pioneering and genre-defining artists Placid Angles (John Beltran), Stone, and Love Spirals Downwards expand this world even further. Each artist reimagines the duo’s sound through their own lens: Placid Angles channels the deep, emotional pulse of early ambient jungle; Stone reinterprets the duo’s dreamscapes into balearic trip-hop bliss; and Love Spirals Downwards brings a lounge-inspired and ethereal sensibility that shaped the 90s ambient electronica era. Their presence weaves a lineage between generations of sound explorers, bridging past and present through shared textures of nostalgia and reinvention.
Finding a temple for their musical kinship in the London label Goddezz, the duo and imprint are kindred spirits in their quest for the divine and the dreamlike. For Goddezz, Forever Chemicals represents a milestone. Known for its rave-adjacent and genre-fluid catalogue with releases from LUXE, Angel D’lite, Salamanda, Oliver Coates, 1-800 Girls, and Tim Reaper, the label now takes a bold step into a new liquid era, opening their world to a wider array of genres and emotions.
