Best of 2025 – Artist Questionnaire by AFFKT
– What’s one thing you learned about yourself as an artist this year?
I learned to trust my intuition more than ever. The less I overthink, the closer I get to the music that truly represents me.
– How has your creative process evolved over the past year?
It’s become more stripped-back and intentional. I focus less on accumulation and more on essence—letting ideas breathe and knowing when a track is already saying enough.
– Who or what inspired your work the most in 2025?
As always, my experiences traveling, living moments fully, and my family. They ground me and constantly remind me why I make music in the first place.
– What’s something you accomplished this year that the “you from last year” wouldn’t believe?
Reworking a Röyksopp track was something I wouldn’t have imagined a year ago, and at the same time pushing my own sound to the next level with tracks like No Signal.
– Is there something you hoped to accomplish in 2025 but didn’t, and are now aiming for in 2026?
To go deeper rather than wider. Fewer releases, but each one with a stronger identity and intention.
– What’s one goal -big or small – you’re setting for yourself as an artist in 2026?
To finish a new album and develop a new live show, something that brings my sound into a more complete and immersive form.
– What are you most excited to explore creatively in 2026?
There’s so much happening right now that it’s hard not to feel excited about what’s coming. New ideas, new sounds, and the freedom to explore them without limits.
– Is there a new medium, project, or direction you’re planning to dive into next year?
Simply making music without borders, letting it exist on its own terms.

About AFFKT (BIO)
Hailing from the Spanish mainland is a sound that’s resonating globally thanks to a select choice of producers that have been able to create their own path after years of honest and competent work. A notable character from that sub-culture of game changers is Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, who consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid & empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. He feels deeply in communion with sounds that range from the most energetic hyper-glossy techno to the most detailed and innovative indie-electronica.
The Valencian has never stopped serving huge electronic crossover masterpieces that derive into the many sub-genres of music via key imprints such as Pets recordings, Multinotes, Exploited, Mobilee, Last Night On Earth or Stil Vor Talent and his very own Sincopat label, and expressing versatility digging deep into his influences of sounds by delivering heart-stopping, engaging techno on the likes of Octopus, Noir Music, Suara… AFFKT is committed to a life of synthesis and this is what sets himself apart from a comparatively shallow glance at dance music.
Once described as a ‘Son of a Thousand Sounds’ – precisely the title he chose later for his highly acclaimed, even award-winning LP released in 2016. Another remarkable evidence of his talent, creativity and open-mindedness is the ‘The Big Picture’, his latest album to date, a tour de force released on the renowned Mobilee imprint.
AFFKT perfectly manages to thrill us as well as tap into our very core. His music can be enjoyed while dancing, as well as serving as emotional therapy.
