Toolroom have pulled out the stops this time, welcoming Chicago House royalty, Jimi Polo, to the label with a new re-vibe of the club classic, ‘Better Days’. Collaborating with legendary Brit producer Michael Gray, most famously known for his hit ‘The Weekend’, ‘Better Days’ gets a brilliant make-over which breathes new life into this much-loved anthem. Instantly recognisable from Adamski’s infectious piano, Jimi’s uplifting, anthemic vocals and all beautifully wrapped in Michael’s classy production, this gem gets to do the business on the dance floors once again, decades after its original release. What a treat!
James Perri (Jimi Polo) is a pioneering Chicago house music artist, Grammy-winning producer, international DJ, film composer, and actor with decades of global influence across music and cinema. James has been living in Zagreb for more than 10 years and working with international artists including Fatboy Slim, DJ Sasha and Blur as well as all of the major Croatian artists.
Michael Gray is a DJ and Music Producer, and is also one half of ‘Full Intention’. Having relaunched his solo career in 2018 to pursue his original love of Disco, his productions and remixes have appeared on Nervous, Z Records, Soulfuric, Fool’s Paradise, Glitterbox, Fool’s Paradise, Big Love, Reel People Music, King Street, among many, as well as his own label Sultra. Michael DJ’s for Glitterbox, Downtown Disco, etc, and has a Saturday night show on Mi Soul Radio and live streams Thankful Thursday on twitch.tv every other Thursday at 7pm.
