Label boss Orion returns to Absence of Facts with two sharp cuts of rhythmic techno. The A-side, “Possess,” pairs a heavy bassline hook with cavernous textures and muscular funk for a relentless groove. On the flip, “Resist” strips things back to the essentials—a tight, looping DJ tool driven by jacking percussion and high-pressure syncopated rhythms.
With its roots firmly in the relentless techno of the ’90s, Absence of Facts presents modern analog-inspired tracks that have been handcrafted and carefully selected in Berlin, Germany.
