Following one of the year’s defining dance records and a summer of sold-out shows across the world, in-demand Amsterdam duo ANOTR return with brand new music, unveiling their latest single, ‘Out of My Head’.
Built around a shimmering disco-funk guitar lick, ‘Out of My Head’ out now on their own label No Art, pairs hands-in-the-air vocal layers with an infectious, soulful house groove. Drawing on the spirit of early 2000s house, the track is made for the dancefloor, with live strings recorded by a nine-piece ensemble of violinists and cellists providing a final organic flourish to the production.
Written during the first official songwriting retreat at their new studio house in the Dutch countryside, ‘Out of My Head’ marks a new chapter in ANOTR’s creative process. Having hosted retreats in rented houses across the Netherlands and further afield, including NYC and Ibiza, Jesse and Oz finally purchased their own bespoke studio house and moved swiftly to start creating in their make-shift studio, whilst renovations were taking place around them.
A milestone for the duo, the house was designed as a permanent hub for collaboration and artistic exploration, grounded in the core values of creativity, connection, nature and psychedelic inquiry. True to their ethos, ANOTR call these stays ‘retreats’, rather than ‘sessions’, with a relaxed, open environment considered just as important as the music itself.
‘Out of My Head’ represents a return to club-focused singles following the release of their hugely acclaimed third studio album ‘Withness’ earlier this summer.
Described by Rolling Stone as embodying a “childlike sense of wonder and experimentation,” and Billboard coining the project as “music that plays like if summer were a sound”, the album was praised for its accessibility, exploring the connection between house music, soul and groove.
Now, returning with brand new music, ‘Out of My Head’ sees the duo up the tempo and intensity, delivering a more direct, house-driven sound that retains the warmth and character at the heart of their music.
Demand for ANOTR has reached new heights following the extraordinary global success of ‘Talk To You Ft. 54 Ultra’. The track has surpassed 250 million streams, reached No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 1 on the UK Dance Chart, peaked at No. 7 on Shazam’s Global Chart and hit No. 1 on Beatport’s Top 100, while generating more than 600 million UGC views. Selected by Spotify for its global ‘Sound of the Summer 2026’ list, the record has become the biggest dance track of the summer.
On the road this year, Jesse and Oz sold out two nights at London’s legendary Alexandra Palace in September, plus sold-out shows at UNVRS Ibiza. They’ve also been busy bringing their own No Art live shows to hundreds of thousands of fans across multiple cities including Miami, Manchester and Lisbon, as well as curating their first No Art Festival in their home town Amsterdam.
With ‘Out of My Head’, ANOTR channel that momentum into a renewed focus on club-driven energy, delivering a track built for expectant dancefloors around the world.
