Soul Quest Records continues its run of standout soulful releases with Sio’s new ‘Losing Sleep’ EP, a three track project shaped by London producers Sean Green, Max Sinàl, KingCrowney and Slxm Sol. The EP captures Sio’s ability to blend emotional honesty with warm, dance floor friendly production, offering some of her most expressive work to date. ‘Serious’ opens the release with a deep, glowing groove. Sio’s candy sweet voice and vulnerable storytelling float over lush keys and subtle afrocentric rhythms. ‘Somewhere’ brings a jazzy NeoSoul feel, carried by her mesmerising tone and a hopeful message that feels intimate and expansive at once. ‘Hello’ closes the EP with a laid back contemporary soul groove, its catchy chorus circling around the pull and confusion of a questionable love interest.

Sio has become one of South Africa’s most distinctive voices, known for weaving poetry, spoken word and song into vivid storytelling. A poet, DJ and singer songwriter, she has built a respected catalogue across Tru Thoughts, Metalheadz, The Remedy Project, Defected, Stay True Sounds and more, collaborating widely and earning deep admiration for her lyrical clarity and emotional depth. Her recent album, ‘Sarang / 사랑,’ explores intention and the law of attraction, marking a new chapter in her creative evolution. ‘Losing Sleep’ adds another rich and beautifully human addition to Soul Quest’s already stellar catalogue.
