Josh Wink is a global electronic legend. His Ovum label celebrated 30 years in the scene in 2024, and the American force behind it continues to push on with fresh new sounds in a wide range of genres. He can do it all with equal style and has landed on the likes of Drumcode and Strictly Rhythm. Wink met Qess while playing a gig for Freerange label head Jimpster in London. He already knew of his music, and when Qess sent over what would become this release, Josh played it out, and it got a huge reaction and knew he wanted to remix it.
His first interpretation begins with more than four minutes of deeply immersive and atmospheric synth work with swirling chords and steamy vocal whispers from renowned vocalist Andrew Edward Brown. After building the tension, mid-tempo drums finally drop and carry the track away into the realms of real melodic house pleasure. After that comes a delicious dub with more weighty kicks and the same sense of majestic, alluring melody.
