London-based DJ, radio host, label head and tastemaker Moxie has curated the latest edition of the Love International compilation series—an expansive and deeply personal journey through her diverse musical world. Curated with the theme “U Skladu” (Croatian for “In Harmony”) in mind, the collection embodies the soulful, euphoric energy of the Croatian festival and marks a milestone in Moxie’s ever-evolving, multidisciplinary career.
Few artists have shaped their local scene quite like Alice Moxom under her celebrated Moxie alias. A born-and-bred Londoner, Moxie is a dance music powerhouse whose influence runs deep—from the grassroots to global stages. Her trajectory spans early teenage years digging for garage records, to dubstep sets at legendary club nights, to running her long-standing and beloved NTS Radio residency. For over a decade, she’s been a midweek staple on NTS, championing deep house, Detroit techno, and all things dubby, groovy, and percussive, while regularly platforming artists through guest mixes and interviews with icons like Jeff Mills, Four Tet, and Or:la.
Her latest endeavor, the Love International compilation, brings that wealth of experience to life. “I’d secretly been manifesting this for a while,” Moxie admits. “Love International has such a specific energy, and I wanted the compilation to reflect that—dubby, fun, euphoric, deep. It’s all the styles of music I love, pulled together in harmony. Being at Love International always feels like coming home. Whether it’s dancing in Barbarellas or sharing a smile with a stranger on the dancefloor, there’s this sense of unity that’s hard to describe. That’s why I chose ‘U Skladu’ for the sleeve—because that’s what it feels like: in harmony.”
From the emotive dubstep of Quest’s ‘Smooth Skin’ on Deep Medi Musik to groove-laden house and uplifting percussive rhythms, Moxie’s Love International compilation is a love letter to the open-hearted spirit of the Adriatic coast and the sounds that have defined her career. Her deep involvement in the UK underground—from working with Benji B at Deviation to pivotal sets at DMZ and on the Olive Grove stage at Love International—has refined a voice that resonates with authenticity and range.
But Moxie’s presence extends far beyond the DJ booth and radio waves. She’s also a tireless curator, party coordinator, and label owner. Her event and label series On Loop—founded in 2016—has become a vital platform for releasing forward-thinking dance music from the likes of Shanti Celeste, Nicola Cruz, Yu Su, and Desert Sound Colony. On top of that, Moxie’s iconic voice has found a home in narration, most notably for Resident Advisor’s Narrated Shorts, where she lent her voice to stories on Burial, Drexciya, Jai Paul, and more.
With festival appearances at the likes of Sonar, Horst, Houghton, Junction 2, Lost Village, Nuits Sonores, Draaimolen, and of course, Love International, Moxie continues to bring her expansive musical universe to dancefloors around the globe. Her all-female S.A.S.S. sets with Shanti Celeste, Saoirse, and Peach have become iconic, and her headline show at KOKO in 2023 was another crowning moment in a career full of them. Set for release ahead of her return to the Adriatic coast this summer, The Sound Of Love International: 007 is a celebration of connection, musical exploration, and the love-fuelled spirit that defines both Moxie and the Love International festival itself.
