DJ Bone’s fifth album, ‘DJ Bone XXXV: The End of Never’, released on June 1st

DJ Bone’s fifth album, ‘DJ Bone XXXV: The End of Never’, released on June 1st as part of a six-release drop on FURTHER RECORDS, is an eight-track exploration of what Detroit Techno is, past and present, to one of its most beloved proponents.

What I wanted to portray with The End of Never is my dedication to keeping the essence of Detroit Techno (in particular) alive while also displaying how timeless it is. Detroit DJs still play older songs, and people think they’re new. By incorporating a lot of uncommon sounds and varying tempos, this release champions the roots and innovation that we know as techno today.’ – DJ Bone

From the overdriven rawness of opener ‘Critical’ and tracks like ‘Deep Inside’ via the sliding Jazz and musicality of ‘The End of Never’, ‘The Smooth Ones’ and ‘The Hypnotist’, ‘DJ Bone XXXV: The End of Never’ is about Detroit as a feeling and Bone projects this with the deft skill he’s become known for both in the studio and behind the decks.

DJ Bone ‘DJ Bone XXXV: The End of Never’ LP is released on FURTHER Records on June 1st as part of the labels six-project release which also features Subject Detroit 30th Anniversary Remixes Vol.1, a Doc Ciroc (DJ Bone’s house/disco alias) single entitled ‘Living Life’, Azucy’s ‘Deep Like the Sea’ EP, Yeti Mind Tricks’ ‘Wannabe Gangsters’ EP and Serge Jansen’s ‘Trust Me’ EP.
