Toulouse’s DCLVIII OFC, aka 658 OFC, arrives on Radio Slave’s REK’D for the first time this June via the ‘Echoes of Resistance’ EP. The COD3QR and Sudbeat Music artist kicks things off with ‘Motor City’, a slice of Detroit-inspired machine funk with dark motifs and an infectious, rolling groove. It’s followed by ‘Resistance’, a cut earmarked for sunset and sunrise sessions with glistening arpeggios, more irresistible rhythm and a playful vocal shout – ‘Echoes of Resistance’ is a real multi-purpose vibestarter.
“Each track is a fragment of my experience, an emotion transposed into rhythms and textures. Inspiration can arise from a sound, a memory, or even the hypnotic silence of dawn after a set. When a piece takes shape, it’s like giving life to something that didn’t exist before, an extension of my sonic soul. That’s what I strive to share.” – DCLVIII OFC
Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has released dancefloor-ready EPs from artists such as St. David, Odee X, James Juke, James Curd, and more.
