EPM Music announces its 25-year anniversary in 2026, celebrating a legacy of expertise in electronic music, digital distribution, sync licensing and rights management. Across the last quarter century EPM Music has played a significant role in supporting artists, labels and partners across the global electronic music ecosystem. Launching digital distribution in 2004, EPM Music was not only one of the first digital distributors but the first to focus on electronic music. “Reaching 25 years is an incredible milestone that reflects the trust of our label partners and artists, and our commitment to adapting to the digital landscape without losing sight of what matters – the music. There have been a lot of changes in the business over the last quarter of a century. When we first started digital distribution we had no one else we could look to, to see how things should be done, or how we could do anything better. We had to innovate from the start, to build everything from nothing, learning as we went along.” Oliver Way, founding partner.
With a streamlined and sharply focussed visual rebrand across EPM’s media channels, website and socials, the 100% independently owned company sets its sights on the future to continually maximise and seek out revenue opportunities for its label partners, artists and rights holders. With our bespoke delivery system, built entirely from the ground up and long running, direct relationships with all major DSPs, music supervisors and sync licensors, EPM maintains to leverage and showcase your music across multiple revenue streams.
EPM Music has evolved alongside the rapid transformation of the music industry, navigating global shifts across music formats and digital platforms. Maintaining a strong focus on artist representation, catalogue integrity and long-term rights value, the company’s work spans distribution strategies, DSP playlist pitching, synchronisation placements across media and comprehensive rights administration.
Over the past 25 years, EPM Music has built a reputation for combining deep knowledge of electronic music culture with forward-thinking business practices, helping rights holders maximize opportunities in an increasingly complex digital landscape. Formed in January 2001 by Oliver Way and Jonas Stone, initially as a PR company and DJ Booking & Management Agency, Melle Boels joined as a partner shortly after with the company evolving into an international digital distribution, Rights Management, sync licensing company and music label with offices in Maastricht, London and Nashville.
Alongside a roster that includes such esteemed labels as Dekmantel, Delsin, Reinforced, Carouse, M-Plant, Downwards, Bonzai Classics, COD3 QR, Blueprint, Klockworks, Peacefrog, Hardgroove, Databass, Darkroom Dubs, BIP Records, Hot Elephant Music, Dirt Crew and hundreds more, EPM’s bespoke delivery system and tech is also used to aid sub-distribution partners such as Clone, Banshee Worx, Rubabub, Wallroom, Rush Hour and Space Cadets in supporting and nurturing their direct labels across DSPs.
As EPM Music looks ahead, the company remains focused on expanding its services, strengthening partnerships and continuing to support electronic music in all its forms. This will be further celebrated throughout the year with an ‘EPM25’ label compilation of unreleased exclusive tracks, EP and single releases from some of the world’s most revered techno, house and electro artists and the 200th episode in EPM’s monthly mix series.
