Nick Curly and Gorge’s 8bit welcomes Chile’s Francisco Allendes and Hungary’s Collective Machine to the label this August as the two producers each reveal fresh solo cuts via an impressive split EP.
Having established himself as a central artist at Ibiza’s ever-growing Saturday party ANTS, Francisco’s ascent as one of South America’s premiere talents within electronic music has reached new levels in recent years with appearances at the likes of Tomorrowland and The BPM Festival, plus releases on key imprints including VIVa MUSiC, Desolat and Kaluki Musik over the past 12 months. Joining him on the EP is Hungarian talent Mario Domjan, aka Collective Machine, who returns to 8bit to following releases on the likes of Deeperfect, Lapsus Music and Stereo Productions to name just a few, gaining support from industry heavyweights including Carl Cox and Marco Carola in the process.
First up, Allendes opens the package in style through his slick blend of rolling percussion and driving bass lines throughout ‘Eres’, whilst employing a medley of infectious soulful and stuttered vocals to reveal a production perfect for the summer months.
On the flip, Collective Machine’s ‘Idive’ takes up a more stripped back arrangement as the focus is shifted towards a series of crisp, organic percussion patterns that go to work amongst spiraling synths across the productions near 8-minute duration.
Francisco Allendes / Collective Machine ‘Eres / Idive’ is out on 8bit Records on 13th August 2018.
