Scottish artist Ros T delivers ‘Stranger Danger / Get Me Through’ via London’s Eton Messy Records this March.
Glaswegian producer and DJ Ros T has been releasing his twist on contemporary house sounds via Nervous Records, Wavy, Groove Co and Eton Messy Records over the past few years, picking up support along the way from the likes of Joris Voorn , Wankelmut, Duke Dumont and Dennis Ferrer. Here we see him return to Eton Messy Records following his track ‘Hold On’ which featured on a VA back in November 2020 which picked up support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard.
Leading the release is ‘Stranger Danger’, fusing vacillating vocal sequences and funk infused keys with crunchy drums and elongated sub bass tones while airy atmospheric synths and evolving chords further fuel the subtly unfolding, cinematic feel.
‘Get Me Through’ follows, embracing a choppy sample-heavy feel via an amalgamation of cut up vocal shots, sweeping brass samples and swinging percussion while a spoken word conversation floats atop the bumpy groove.
