Rising star of the underground Pretty Girl today announces her contribution to the iconic fabric presents mix series, joining a prestigious roster that includes SHERELLE, Saoirse, Overmono, Kode9 & Burial, Chaos In The CBD + many more. Out June 20th via fabric Records, fabric presents Pretty Girl showcases the Melbourne-born, London-based producer, vocalist and DJ at her most eclectic and emotional — a deep dive into shimmering club melancholia, groove-heavy house, speed garage, and more. Pretty Girl will be celebrating the mix release with a fabric presents Pretty Girl launch party on Friday 6th June (tickets available here). Alongside the announcement, Pretty Girl shares the lead single ‘Innadream’, a glowing, chord-led club cut born from a late-night melody captured on her phone, now transformed into one of her most emotionally charged tracks yet.
“Midnight, October 9 2024, I woke abruptly from a dream where I had made the best song I’d ever heard, and sleepily recorded the melody into my phone,” she says of ‘innadream’. “Months later, when I was preparing my singles for the fabric presents album, I finally found a place for that melody—in a simple, chord-driven club demo. When I got the five-syllable phrase ‘re-animate me,’ it was all over.” Completed in just a week, the track reflects a turning point in Pretty Girl’s writing: “It came from the desire to wake up and smell the roses, and appreciate the good (and beautiful) parts of life.”
Much like her increasingly renowned live and DJ sets — performed around the world at Coachella, Glastonbury, DC10 Ibiza, All Points East, Portola, Let Them Eat Cake, Lost Village and her sold-out headline show at The Cause in London — Pretty Girl’s fabric presents mix is a curated journey through dancefloor emotion and euphoria. Featuring standout tracks from her favorite Australian contemporaries including RONA., Sleep D, Guy Contact, and SWIM, as well as exclusive new material, the mix moves seamlessly between UKG, deep house, French house, and lo-fi club textures, tied together by her signature floating melodies and tactile grooves.
