Yousef continues his prolific run with the arrival of ‘Love and Hope’, a new collaboration with Brighton trio Kuuda. The track follows the momentum of ‘Loving is Living’ and ‘Higher Place’, both taken from his number one album ‘I Operate in Purple’ released last year. This time, Kuuda’s vocals lead the emotional charge, delivering a warm but melancholic reflection on heartbreak and the power of belief, while Yousef shapes the production with the divine house sensibility that has defined his career. A remix from Greek Tech House talent Red Weeller adds a sharper, late night edge, pushing the release firmly into club territory with a more driving feel.
Now more than thirty years into his career, Yousef remains one of the UK’s most respected DJs and producers. His fifth artist album, ‘I Operate in Purple’, released in 2025, brought together a wide cast of collaborators including Baby Girl, Kuuda, Bodacious Thang, Alexx and Yasmin. Alongside his own work, his label Circus Recordings continues to be a home for both established names and emerging artists, with past releases from Carl Cox, Kerri Chandler, Green Velvet and Jamie Jones.
Kuuda, made up of Charlie, Maeve and Ollie, have quickly become a standout presence in UK dance music. Their sound moves fluidly between Progressive, Afro, Jackin House and emotive Breakbeat, and their growing list of collaborators includes Yousef, Franky Wah, Hot Since 82, KeeQ, Artche, Sam Divine and James Organ. Their track with Hot Since 82, ‘ALIVE’, earned BBC Radio 1 support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard, further cementing their rise.
