apaull album, Gunfactor, is out on 24 April 2026

apaull album Gunfactor is out https://FurnaceRoomRecords.lnk.to/Gunfactor  on 24 April 2026. The title is a play on words. In Dutch, it loosely means “it factor”, or that something that pushes you over the edge to “make it”. The English meaning lands instantly.

This is apaull‘s third studio album. Abe Duque serves as Executive Producer. The ten-track album explores the pathways to fame and infamy. Fame is achieved through exceptional talent, and a stroke of good fortune. Fame (infamy?) is sometimes achieved through violent acts, as we have seen recently in America and other places.

Gunfactor distills apaull’s jet-black electronic palette into music engineered for peak time and after-hours alike. His signatures are all here: punchy, disciplined low end, streamlined synth design, and economical arrangements that know exactly when to accelerate. Genres include techno (and techno-adjacent), with infusions of industrial, indie dance, and synthwave.

Each Gunfactor track is remixed, by artists including Rhys Fulber, Junior Sanchez, Christian Smith, Jr. Sanchez, Dina Summer, André Winter, Signal Deluxe, Andrey Sirotkin, Ross Harper and Pyrame

Artwork and photography are an important part of framing apaull’s music with a visual aesthetic. The Gunfactor cover lettering is by famed Brooklyn-based artist Al Diaz, a past Jean-Michel Basquiat collaborator. All apaull photographs are taken by the “baron of techno” and noted photographer Dave Clarke.
