Kraftwerk, the legendary German electronic music band formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, are widely regarded as innovators and pioneers of electronic music. As one of the first successful acts to popularize the genre worldwide, Kraftwerk continue to influence generations of artists and music lovers alike.

On 23.05.2025, as part of their spectacular “Multimedia Tour 2026,” Kraftwerk performed at O2 Apollo Manchester in the United Kingdom, their first in the country since 2017. Dubiks brings you the atmosphere of this unforgettable evening through photos and videos, which you can also find shared across our social media platforms. Kraftwerk’s live “Multimedia” tour is a career-spanning audiovisual experience that combines the band’s iconic electronic catalogue with synchronized 3D projections, computer animations, robotic stage elements, and special visual effects accompanying every track performed.

The setlist featured many of their most beloved classics, including:
“Numbers,” “Computer World,” “Home Computer / It’s More Fun to Compute,” “Spacelab,” “The Man-Machine,” “The Model,” “Neon Lights,” “Autobahn,” “Computer Love,” and “Boing Boom Tschak / Techno Pop / Musique Non Stop.”
One of the standout visual moments of the evening, also seen during other performances on the tour, was the animated display of the host country’s map highlighting the city where the band was performing, followed by the launch of a spacecraft animation projected in front of the venue, adding a futuristic and immersive dimension to the show.

Unlike the 2004 concert we attended (Doogie), where younger generations and the peak of techno culture dominated the audience, this evening brought together fans from 7 to 70 years old: fathers with sons, grandfathers with grandchildren, as well as attendees with special needs, accompanied by their families or assistants. Kraftwerk once again proved that their music is for everyone and that this is a concert experience everyone should witness at least once in their lifetime. Those who have experienced it once will undoubtedly continue to follow the band for years to come.

As expected, the night concluded with thunderous applause from the packed venue. In true Kraftwerk fashion, the band returned to the stage for an encore performance of one of their most iconic anthem “We Are The Robots.”
