“Meaningful Quest” by Flowgeist, is taken from the “Flowgeist ” LP set for release on 6th November 2026 on Evighet Records.
Conceived by Berlin-based artists Marco Bruno and Velvet May, the project emerges from a shared inquiry into sound and aesthetics. Approaching electronic music as a cinematic field, Flowgeist moves through dense atmospheres, fractured rhythms and sculptural sound design. Its language develops through detail: genre remains peripheral, meaning is tethered to sensation, drawing the listener into a world shaped by anunfolding narrative.
Flowgeist’s self-titled debut begins with particles and ends with a score. Across ten tracks, the duo follow emotion at the moment it changes direction. Curiosity gives way to paralysis. Attraction acquires suspicion. Public language becomes theatre. Silence turns into captivity. Rhythm finally opens toward renewal.
Each style appears because a feeling requires it. The album moves from matter to memory, giving passing states a place to stay. Trip Hop, Drum ’n’ Bass, Postpunk, Breakbeat, EBM, Techno and modular electronics all appear, each chosen for a precise dramatic purpose. The range serves the sequence. Acoustic instruments keep their grain inside the electronic production, and every track changes the terms established by the one before it.
Our selected premiere, “Meaningful Quest,” closes the album by turning its focus inward to the act of composition itself. Here, the score becomes a vessel for fleeting thoughts and experiences, holding them before they disappear. Multiple musical languages work together to preserve what has been felt, transforming composition into an act of memory and giving lasting form to a transient moment.
