The Prodigy have shared a Wh0 remix of ‘Need Some1’
The remix comes from mysterious UK house duo Wh0, who put their stamp on The Prodigy’s heavyweight comeback ‘Need Some1’. This remix follows Drum & Bass Legend Friction’s recent rework of the track. The Prodigy have also confirmed their seventh studio album ‘No Tourists’ on November 2nd release on their Take Me To The Hospital label (via BMG).
Speaking on the new album Liam Howlett said:
“to us, the idea of ‘No Tourists’ is ultimately about escapism, and wanting to be derailed. Not to be a tourist, not to follow the set path. If you want something, you have to reach out a bit further, a bit deeper. That way lies more danger, and excitement. It doesn’t mean no tourists allowed – just, don’t be one!” Howlett laughs.
In a career approaching 30 unpredictable, uncompromising years, The Prodigy have become that rare act whose influence can be felt across all walks of life. Continually defining (and re-defining) dance and electronic music, the band have clocked up a staggering 6 number 1 albums, sold 30 million records, played to many millions around the world, and won multiple honours (two Brits, two Kerrang! awards, five MTV awards, two Grammy nominations). Though much has changed in the musical and social landscape, what remains a constant is The Prodigy’s resolute focus to always do things their own unique way. This, perhaps, is the true meaning of ‘No Tourists’, and in 2018 the anger, urgency, and irrepressible spirit of The Prodigy has no doubt never been more needed.
