Dutch-Canadian electronic music producer apaull returns with “Fang Mich,” the latest single from his third studio album, Gunfactor.
Today, we are pleased to premiere an exclusive remix by Signal Deluxe, the acclaimed Mexican electronic.
A cornerstone of Mexico’s electronic music scene, Signal Deluxe bring their distinctive sound to the track, reshaping “Fang Mich” with a refined club-focused edge.
“Fang Mich”, which means ‘catch me’ was written on a dark January week in Berlin. The winter fog, nearby wall with its ‘if the walls could speak’ kind of history and graffiti infused architecture gave this track its dark and menacing vibe. Late winter night walks to and from Berghain (with it’s not so inclusive entry policy) and the friendlier Tresor sealed this track, which snaps with percussive feints and call‑and‑response stabs—DJ catnip for tight mixes.
Signal Deluxe, formed by Valeria Rueda (Lila D.) and Jerónimo Puente (Jerga), is a cornerstone of Mexico’s electronic music scene based in Berlin. Since 2005, they’ve crafted a unique blend of experimental house and spacey techno, earning international recognition for their deep, atmospheric soundscapes. Their prolific output includes releases on labels like Get The Curse and their own Blaq Records, where they’ve championed both their music and Mexico’s underground. Tracks like Seaweed Smoker and the Demon Hipster EP exemplify their dynamic range and global appeal.
Renowned for their electrifying performances, Signal Deluxe has held residencies at Berlin’s Bar25 and Golden Gate while playing festivals like Fusion and Tresor. Valeria, a trailblazer for female producers, and Jerga, a veteran of Mexico’s vinyl era, continue to shape electronic music’s evolution. Their legacy lies not just in their music but in the vibrant community they’ve built around it.
