Emeric Di Paolo created his Luxus Varta alias in 2015 with a stunning debut EP on SolarOneMusic, followed by solo releases on Shipwrec, Trust, Brokntoys, Intramuros and Nocta Numerica, quickly establishing himself as one of the most unique sounding producers in the field of electro and IDM. Meanwhile, his long-standing friendship and working relationship with Paris The Black FU from Detroit Grand Pubahs has spawned various collaborations including their latest Techmarine Bottom Feeders concept project.
“I’ve decided to launch my own label to release my most personal works. Maelstrom was the first artist to support Luxus Varta at the beginning of the project, so I’m very happy to welcome him on board for this first In Abstracto release!” says Emeric.
‘Born Sad’ is a reflection on childhood and the end of insouciance, the famous moment when you realize that you’re not eternal. Feelings change, your own vision of the world becomes darker. Everything looks suddenly absurd and you already know that life will be a hard challenge. Now you must find something to fight reality: music seems to be a good choice…
