EPM Podcast 148 comes from non-other than France’s greatest techno ambassador, Laurent Garnier. Garnier remains one of the world’s biggest champions of house and techno music. His enthusiasm and love for the scene has taken him the world over in his roles as a producer, radio show host and above all, globe-trotting headline DJ. His building DJ sets, full of invention and emotion are the stuff of legend and he remains at the peak of his artistic powers. After 4 years behind the scenes it was revealed this September that Cod3 QR was in fact the label he founded anonymously in 2018 with Scan X. The enigmatic label has presented artists’ names first coded, then revealed later, featuring artists such as Agents Of Time, R.O.S.H., CYRK, Madben and Joe Farr. Laurent Garnier and Scan X announced themselves as the protagonists behind the French techno project with the launch of the 10th release of the label featuring a track from each of them. Now Laurent Garnier rounds off this big year for the label with an exclusive Cod3 QR mix featuring tracks from the mysterious label and some exclusive yet to be released future gems. Garnier’s musical journey has also been documented by the 2003 book Electrochoc (co-written with David Brun-Lambert) and the recent full-length film, ‘Off The Record’ (2021). After 30 years devoted to music, Laurent has been made Chévalier de la Légion d´Honneur in 2017.
