About Ficture
Gábor Tokár is an innovative electronic music producer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist based in Budapest, Hungary, who seamlessly bridges organic live instrumentation with advanced electronic manipulation.
Drawing inspiration from psychological patterns and architectural forms, he crafts highly textured soundscapes and, as a live session player and core drummer for several Hungarian alternative acts, he brings that same precision to the stage.
Under his solo moniker Ficture, he continues to push structural and textural limits, translating human behavioural instincts into raw, immersive auditory journeys.
Sonically, Ficture sits where the human pulse of live drumming meets the precision of advanced computer music. Fans of Shigeto or Jaga Jazzist will hear how his jazz‑inflected rhythms anchor intricate micro‑glitch details and experimental sequencing, while listeners of Tycho will recognise his warm analog synth palettes and cinematic atmospheres.
