Our favorite Frenchman Marcelo Cura teams up with Miami local Dübelu for a three track journey into the soft sands of the heart, the ‘Viaje Del Corazon’ EP.
The title track opens with a haunting intro of airy pads and floating vocal accents before picking up the pace and dropping the groove. From here the temperature slowly rises as the two artists create an intense tapestry of sound and emotion.
Next we are greeted with 2 versions of ‘Cubans in Space’, a trippy version and a dubby version. We begin with the former; a rumbly blend of bouncy chords and techy vibes playing out under an old-timey vocal that’s not afraid to pull us into many various directions throughout the nearly 10 and half minute track. The dubby version gives us more bass for our buck, giving the dancefloor a proper shakedown and delivering us deeper into the night.
