Another fantastic collection from Netherlands own Deeparture on Poesie, this time a two tracker titled ‘Decompression’. Holding the reigns lightly at first, Deeparture lures us into a false sense of security before pounding out a heavy kick and a deep bass right into our bones; ‘Decompression’ has begun. The energy bubbles higher and higher as Deeparture slowly lets the warmth in, flying through vocal layers and space-y ambience all while pounding out energy in a sweet juxtaposition of warm chords and sinister bass. ‘Turbulence’ runs a tech-house vibe, giving a bouncy yet powerful percussion line to a wandering synth before breaking down with pianos and sunshine… All while delivering the heat at full steam.
