Canopy of Stars brings his Waves Remixed project to Rednetic. He has released music on Databloem and Bubble Universe. The original Waves album was inspired by the sights and sounds of the coast, a fascination with the universe stretching back to his childhood and all of the ambient music he loves.
This album includes three remixes by Urban Meditation, Si Matthews, and Darren McClure, along with two by Canopy of Stars. They have released music on some of our favourite labels, such as Carpe Sonum Records, …txt, Fantasy Enhancing, Móatún 7, Symbolic Interaction, n5MD, Neo-Tantra, and Audiobulb Records.

“This project began with an attempt to remix ‘Gravitational Waves’ from my first album. I always felt that the original version I recorded didn’t entirely match what was in my head. Having learned a lot about music-making since it was first recorded seven years ago, I felt I would like to have a go at an alternate version of the track to try to realise my vision. It is probably the most painstaking piece I have ever worked on. During the early stages of working on the remix, I invited three friends whose music I admire to remix the other tracks from my first album. I also decided to attempt a remix of one of the ‘Waves’ tracks that bookended the original album. I love the paths my friends took with the source material, and I hope you enjoy this release.” Christian Wheeldon (CoS), 2024.
