Following releases on Nervous Records and REKIDS, Anfisa Letyago lands on Hotflush with ‘Electrifying’, a 5-track EP of barrelling club cuts. Anfisa’s abilities as a DJ have brought the Neapolitan breakout artist into the orbit of techno high rollers like Carl Cox and DJ Pierre. As a producer, she’s quickly developed a style that combines techno’s breathless kinetic energy and the groove and flow of deep house.
Title track, ‘Electrifying’ is a quick-footed warehouse stomper decorated with dubby stabs and powerful bass weight. ‘Push’ and ‘Push The Button’ are a pair of techno rollers, prioritising hypnotic grooves over peak time intensity. ‘Technology’ is the curveball of the pack, with its tense paired back drum loop and earworm bassline. It comes backed up by a jacking, high-powered remix courtesy of Phantasy-affiliated producer James Welsh.
