Mr C’s Superfreq welcomes Marcus Stork aka Chords of Stockholm for a fantastic new four track EP filled with atmospheric and futuristic house sounds.
His career dates back more than 10 years and takes in DJ sets all over Europe and South America. He is one of the founders of Afterglow & Stork, and in the past has run his own events as well as releasing on a wide range of labels. Now he impresses once more with these four fantastic cuts.
Beautiful Soul opens with driving drums and Detroit style synths that get you in the groove. It’s a big, powerful tune to make a big impact. Mendoza Funk has more dubbed out drums and a deeply cosmic atmosphere thanks to the whispered vocals and icy synths.
Moon then layers up bubbling drums and bass with some lush pads to make for a soothing, widescreen tune that takes you to the stars. Last of all, My Ride gets darker and more mysterious thanks to the eerie keys and muffled voices. Again the drums are slick and seductive to close out this fine EP.
