Detroit-based duo Luke Hess and Joshua Harrison return with their second EP, which continues their dub techno odyssey following their prior release on EchoChord. On this outing, the duo presents four unique and immersive tracks, created live in a single take at BlackCat Recordings in New York.
Radiating chaos and humanity, each track focuses the listener on real-time dub performances with the aim of elevating both mind and body.

Joshua Harrison BIO
Beginning in the Late ’90s and early 2000’s Joshua Harrison could be found playing wide-ranging House music sets at under-the-radar after-hours events, along with classic Detroit venues The Works and Johanson Charles Gallery. Harrison’s journey within the Detroit underground has seen him travel a reclusive path; preferring to play supporting roles that allow him to remain in a state of exploration. Starting in the early 2000s releases on Thomas Barnett’s Visillusion records and Claus Bachor’s Psychothrill imprint cemented a reputation for genre non-conformity while EPs later in the decade exhibited Joshua’s ability to craft dancefloor focused cuts for both Beretta Music and mONOmENTAL digital. Throughout the 2010s both his DJing and production style evolved to a more techno-focused palette where it remains today. Now preferring collaboration both in the studio and in performance, the last 10 years have seen Joshua launch a myriad of collaborations delivering notably through the imprints, Echochord, Deeplabs, Faith Beat, and NONCOM.
Luke Hess BIO
Born in 1980 and raised in the Detroit area, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood. His faith based music production has landed him numerous vinyl releases (EP’s, LP’s, and remixes) on labels like Planet-e, Rekids, FXHE, Echocord, Kontra- Musik, Dolly, Finale Sessions, Ornaments, and Prime Numbers among others. His debut album was released in early May 2009 by Denmark based label Echocord. In 2010 he began his own interpretation of Detroit techno with his new Detroit project and record label – DeepLabs. His sophomore album “Keep On” was released on FXHE records in 2012 and received a Recommended 4.5/5 rating on Resident Advisor. With 20 years of DJ experience, he is regarded as a perfectionist behind the decks layering his tracks in a very detailed and hypnotic manner. Luke has played at many notable venues and festivals in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America including 10 separate appearances at the illustrious Berghain/Panoramabar in Berlin. Luke’s continued hard work in the studio and as a music collector/curator combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.
